Welcome to my visual motorcycle diary.
I have been very lucky to have travelled widely and managed to ride in six of the seven continents. My motorcycling is more about little and often than big and seldom.
I have always been fascinated by the state of mind of the journey rather than the motorcycle itself. The bike is just the entertainment enabler.
When I head out for a fun ride I often try and make a picture to remember the trip. You don’t have to go far to find adventure, you just need to look.
I read the magnificent ‘Jupiter’s Travels’ by Ted Simon whilst at school and have never been the same since.
I’m a fan of slow and stopping en route to appreciate whatever needs appreciating. I find some of the best fun can be had on the long way home from the shops.
All photographs, except the very first image (from 1916), are my own.
